Hailing from Fort Worth, this red dirt Texas band is a blend of talented musicians and traveling souls made up of Jimmy Sliger, lead vocals/rhythm guitar; Sean Macy, backup vocals/lead guitar; Phillip Baker, bass guitar; and Dathen Martin, drums. 281 South's music is a soulful blend of Texas country, southern rock and blues.

281 south has been playing in venues across Texas and Oklahoma, opening for established artists such as Stoney Larue, Reckless Kelly, Micky and the Motorcars, Ryan Turner, Mark McKinney, Deryl Dodd, Tommy Alverson, Brandon Jenkins, Phil Hamilton…just to name a few.

281 South's first album, Third Times a Charm, hit the market with a bang in 2008 and their single "Coming Home Tonight" quickly moved up the charts playing on radio stations all across Texas and Oklahoma. The band was also featured on Fox 4 good day Texas in 2009 to promote their first single. The band just finished their new single "Boxcar" which has already had some airtime on 95.9 the Ranch and should be hitting the airwaves everywhere very soon. The new single has sparked a new interest in longtime fans as well as capturing the hearts of new ones.
